The main teaching activities are the training of mathematics teacher students in various topics of mathematics education and support of students during their practical studies in schools. Moreover, the promotion of school students with outstanding interests and abilities in mathematics is part of my teaching. Currently I work also as a co-teacher with a special mathematics class at a school, which cooperates with the Humboldt-University within the frame of a network of mathematically and scientifically profiled high schools.

The research fields are the didactics of geometry at lower and upper secondary level as well as modelling activities in mathematics classrooms. Furthermore, I do research the use of technology in mathematics education, visualizations of mathematical topics and inclusion of mathematical aspects of computer graphics in mathematics education.
